Opening Times

We are open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm, and Bank Holiday Mondays.

In accordance with government guidelines, Towner Eastbourne will re-open on 18 May 2021, including the shop, café and two major new exhibitions – John Nash: The Landscape of Love and Solace (ticketed – advanced booking advised) and John Akomfrah: Vertigo Sea (free).

Two more free exhibitions – A drawing, a story, and a poem go for a walk: Mariana Castillo Deball curates the Towner Collection and the Ravilious Gallery will re-open on Saturday 29 May (both free). We also hope to re-open our Collection Library shortly (exact date tbc, please check before you visit).

Towner Cinema will re-open later this year.

You do not need to book a ticket to enter the building or to visit our other free exhibitions, but you may be asked to wait for short periods during busy periods due to reduced capacity for social distancing.

All visitors should be aware that Covid-19 safety measures will be in place to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable visit. Visitors will need to wear masks to enter the gallery (unless exempt) and provide contact details for NHS Test & Trace. Sanitisation points will be available throughout the building, and payment by card is required in our shop and café. To allow for social distancing, we will be limiting the number of visitors allowed into each exhibition space, as well as into the building itself.
