The Towner Charitable Trust’s aspiration is ambitious and builds on those things that have made the Gallery so successful: more world-class exhibitions; more commissions for emerging and regional artists; more activities, tailored to the needs of wider and more diverse audiences and more acquisitions for its permanent collection for future generations to enjoy. The Trust will invest as many of its own resources as it can to fulfill these aspirations, and this newly created role is a unique chance for an experienced development professional to shape, implement and deliver the ambitious fundraising strategy, to create a step-change in fundraising at Towner.
As a powerful and sophisticated influencer with vision, originality and credibility, you will swiftly gain the confidence of the Executive Director and Board of Trustees, by demonstrating your significant track record of securing philanthropic support from individuals and trusts and foundations, at the five and six-figure level or more. Critical to your success will be your strong organisational and project management skills in setting up fundraising
operations. A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and appreciation of the visual arts, will thrive at Towner.
