COVID-19 resources for artists
Posted on 6/04/2020
Towner Eastbourne could not exist without artists and thrives because of our relationships with so many, past and present. This is an incredibly challenging period for everyone, not least artists and arts workers, many of whom we survive through freelance income and contract based work.
We wanted to send a post a special message to our artist communities, to check in and to express solidarity.
If you would like to get in touch with thoughts or suggestions of ways you think we can offer support or advice, you can email us via firstname.lastname@example.org or send us a message on any of our social media platforms. We’d be pleased to hear from you.
With our cultural partners, we will continue to advocate and lobby policymakers and statutory funders on your behalf and for the sector during this difficult period. For now, we have compiled some useful resources below, which we hope may provide some guidance and we will continue to add to this selection over time.
Some useful resources:
Arts Council England has published useful guidance and support. A-N have also gathered a useful selection of guidance for artists and arts workers here, including bridging bursaries and ways to make your voice heard in the sector. A global list of resources can also be found here. CVAN SE meanwhile, are sharing useful links on their Twitter feed, which is being updated daily with news and information for the sector.
