Hiring: Marketing & Communications Assistant
Posted on 17/06/2021
Towner is seeking a Marketing & Communications Assistant. This is an exciting time to join Towner as a winner of Art Fund’s Museum of the Year 2020, and in the lead-in to the gallery’s centenary celebrations in 2023.
Working with the Head of Marketing and Audience Development and the Head of Press and PR, this role will support ensuring that Towner reaches, engages, and increases audiences, participants, and identified priority groups, including those communities who do not currently engage with Towner.
You’ll support the delivery of marketing and communication strategies across Towner’s programme (including Exhibitions, Collection, Events, Cinema, Shop, Café and our Supporters Schemes) with a particular focus on the promotion of Towner Enterprises (Cinema, Café, Shop, Hire) and administrative support for the department. You’ll be an integral part of a team promoting Towner and Eastbourne and delivering key messages to audiences, participants, and stakeholders across all channels and platforms. Towner is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can be themselves and succeed on merit. We strive to ensure that opportunities to work and develop at Towner are open to all. We treat all job applications equally, regardless of age, disability, gender identity or gender expression, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation or any other equality characteristic. We particularly encourage applications from disabled people and people from Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds as these groups are currently underrepresented in the cultural sector and within the organisation. As a Disability Confident Committed Employer, we are committed to offering an interview to candidates with a disability who meet the essential criteria for the role.
