Posted on 8/02/2019
You’re invited to a special event on Saturday 16 February from 6.00pm, celebrating the launch of four new exhibitions and our new Art School programme. In addition to all of our exhibitions being open until late, there will be chips and music in the bar following which, a trio of musicians from London Contemporary Orchestra will perform John Cage’s Ryoanji live at Towner Art Gallery.
This piece, by one of the most influential composers of the twentieth century, was inspired by the zen rock garden at the Ryoanji Temple in Kyoto, Japan.
This launch event is free and open to everyone. No booking – drop in any time throughout the evening and bring your friends.
The launch event will be preceded at 5.00pm by an Artists in Conversation event with exhibition artists Anne Hardy and Carey Young before the exhibitions open at 6.00pm. Booking for this talk recommended as spaces are limited.
