Singin’ in the Rain (Dementia Friendly)

We’re very pleased to be partnering with Memory Lane Eastbourne on World Alzheimer’s Day to present this special screening of one of the greatest movie musicals of all time, Singin’ in the Rain.

Gene Kelly stars, alongside Debbie Reynolds, as Don Lockwood, a silver-screen star at a studio reckoning with the arrival of the talkies. From the iconic title song to the fantastical Broadway Melody sequence, Singin’ in the Rain truly is a timeless classic.

This screening is open to the general public but please note this is a dementia-friendly screening, which means the lights are left on low throughout the film and the volume will be slightly lower than usual.

Towner Cinema Safety Procedures

For all upcoming screenings we will operate with a reduced capacity of 50 seats out of a possible 84.  This will generally allow for one vacant space between audience groups.

We will also continue to strongly encourage the wearing of masks during our screenings (unless exempt) and request that no food or drink is consumed within the cinema.
