Following the economic collapse of a company town in rural Nevada, Fern (Frances McDormand) packs her van and sets off on the road exploring a life outside of conventional society as a modern-day nomad. The third feature film from director Chloé Zhao (The Rider), Nomadland features real nomads Linda May, Swankie, and Bob Wells as Fern’s mentors and comrades in her exploration through the vast landscape of the American West.
Towner Cinema Safety Procedures
For screenings on 17 & 18 July it will be mandatory to wear a mask (unless exempt) and capacity levels will be reduced to 30 seats (out of a possible 84).
Although the legal requirements around Covid safety measures cease on 19 July we will maintain a number of procedures to provide a safe and reassuring environment for our cinema audience.
For screenings after 19 July we will operate with a reduced capacity of 50 seats out of a possible 84. This will generally allow for one vacant space between audience groups.
We will also continue to strongly encourage the wearing of masks during our screenings (unless exempt) and request that no food or drink is consumed within the cinema.
