Join us on the first Thursday of every month as we throw open our doors for a free twilight gallery experience, alongside talks, live music, film and networking. Our café will be open and serving a delicious menu of drinks and light snacks too – why not make a night of it?
On Thursday 3 October, you can experience 200 Seasons, one of the largest and most ambitious exhibitions of David Nash’s work ever mounted, and TEN our tenth anniversary exhibition curated by members of our team who have worked and volunteered with Towner over the past decade.
In our Collection Library, see Downland Gloaming, a selection of photographs by Allan Grainger inspired by the work of Eric Ravilious and the poetry of Edward Thomas. Our October First Thursday offers a chance to meet Allan and find out more about his fascination with capturing the Downs at twilight.
From 7.30pm we will have live music from one-man musical sensation Mark Ritzema (of Lackadaisy fame), with his unique take on gypsy swing, peppered with eclectic musical delights from around the world.
The exhibitions will be open until 8.00pm, and the café bar will remain open until 9.00pm with music until 8.45pm.
