Drawing in the Bag
Use your sense of touch to explore a series of objects in closed bags, explore mark-making to capture what your hand feels and your mind sees.
Steven Follen is a designer, maker and educator with skills and knowledge of drawing, design development and practical making with a range of materials. He has extensive experience of delivering workshops, summer schools and projects across a range of ages and abilities in both formal and informal learning settings.
He has worked with museums and gallery collections, heritage locations, schools and community groups delivering creative workshops and producing conclusions to projects which help to make places, spaces and collections accessible to wider audiences.
His studio practice includes, making artefacts, producing design solutions for site specific, client-focused commissions and working in educational contexts with students, educators, professionals and the public. His work is included in the metalwork collection at Birmingham City Museum and Art gallery, the Crafts Council’s national collection, Manchester Metropolitan University Craft Collection, and The Arts Council Collection at Hove Museum.
