Annual Schools Exhibition 2016 – Walking the Line 24th March to Sunday 5th June 2016.

Towner Art Gallery has launched its 2016 programme for Annual Schools Exhibition, the South East’s biggest and most popular annual exhibition of art work created by schoolchildren. Schools from across East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and West Sussex are invited to sign up to take part in the project. The deadline for registration is Friday 5 February 2016, with a maximum of 50 spaces on offer.

Our Place: Annual Schools Exhibition 2015

The South East’s most popular annual exhibition of art work created by schoolchildren has expanded its reach across Sussex with the addition of two new partner sites: Worthing Museum and Art Gallery, West Sussex and the Flora Twort Gallery Petersfield, Hampshire.

Working in partnership with the South Downs National Park, Towner and the two galleries will be engaging schools across Hampshire, West and East Sussex in a project that draws on the rich resources of the national park and local museums and galleries.

John Virtue | The Sea

Towner is delighted to present John Virtue’s The Sea, an exhibition featuring a spectacular new body of work by this renowned British painter. The 12 canvases, 24 paintings on paper and 70 sketchbooks, all executed in the last three years, will be displayed in our top floor gallery space, the largest in the South East.
