A creative space for all ages to playfully explore ideas and themes in our current Arts Council Collection exhibition Now, Today, Tomorrow and Always. Reflect on how popular culture shapes individuals and society.
Photo booth: We have teamed up with leading photo booth designer Photobot to offer a unique experience. Capture the moment with friends and family through poses inspired by works in the exhibition. Be an ‘art zombie’ or ‘wake up and smell the coffee’ – each time in the booth is different. You will receive a strip of photos with four different poses and a link to view your images online as animations. The booth is £2 a go so why wait – come along and leave a lasting impression!
Karaoke: Inspired by the artwork dunya dinlemiyor by artist Phil Collins we have set up Towner’s very first karaoke. With a special stage, two microphones and over 9,000 songs you don’t have to stick to songs by The Smiths! Come and sing your heart out. Or maybe you prefer to perform a poem or let us know what’s really bothering you and use the space as speakers corner. Share your performance online #fusebox
Magnetic wall: Leave your ‘message for the people’ on our specially designed wall. Working with local designer Kate from Perch we have created magnets influenced by works in the exhibition. Use them to make pictures and we will feature the best on Twitter @townerlearning
Playlist: We commissioned Original Forty Fivers to curate a playlist in response to the exhibition which you can enjoy here: Now, Today, Tomorrow and Always – Original Forty Fivers
