Every Thursday up to and including 31 August we will be open until 8pm, allowing you and your friends the chance to spend leisurely summer evenings here at Towner.

Take in the 500+ works that make up Ravilious & Co: The Pattern of Friendship, our major summer exhibition (open until 17 September), which brings to life the significant relationships and collaborations within one of the most widely influential – though largely unexplored – English artist designer networks of the twentieth century.

In our first floor gallery until 9 July is Becky Beasley: OUS, a response to Ravilious & Co. and our extensive collection of works by Ravilious. Locally based artist Becky Beasley has transformed our 1st Floor Gallery into a series of gently unfolding, contemplative room installations.

From 22 July, we open two brand new exhibitions: Now, Today, Tomorrow and Always an Arts Council Collection Partner Exhibition that brings together a range of artworks from the Arts Council Collection and Towner’s own Collection that explore how popular culture has influenced recent contemporary art; and Sussex Open which brings together some of the best artists from across Sussex, including new talent and established figures.

Our shop will also be open selling gifts, books, prints and stationery inspired by our exhibitions and our café-bar Urban Ground at Towner will be serving wine, beer, top quality coffee and light bites which can be enjoyed on our top floor balcony.
