Towner volunteer by photographer Trevor Mitchell

All year round, we welcome applications for volunteers at Towner. If you are interested in art and looking to gain knowledge, we can offer a wide range of experiences, from assisting technicians with installations to interacting with visitors.

Benefits of volunteering include:

Finding Your Way Volunteer

Eastbourne-based Creative Force has been commissioned by Towner to deliver a unique programme of community-building creative work called Finding Your Way. Creative Force will be running a weekend of drop-in workshops for the general public in a marquee on Seaside Recreation Ground on 18 and 19 July.

The project is seeking Eastbourne-based volunteers with a real interest in the arts and creativity to work alongside our team in the marquee and at Towner during the weekend. You will also be comfortable working with people of different ages, abilities and disabilities. No other experience is required just BAGS of enthusiasm to be involved in something special and quirky.

Training session will take place on 11 July from 2pm to 4pm, plus you’ll work 8 to 16 hours over the workshop weekend. Expenses for travel and, where appropriate, refreshments will be provided.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information contact Teri Sayers-Cooper by 12 June at Creative Force on 07432 678228 or teri@creativeforce.org.uk.
