Artist and designer Eric Ravilious is renowned for some of the 20th Century’s most iconic depictions of the Sussex countryside. Since the 1930s Towner has developed one of the largest public collections of Ravilious’ work as well as extensive archive materials.
Our Ravilious Room is a dedicated space to view a selection of his finest watercolours, prints and ceramics, explore our archive and browse books on the artist. Our successful exhibition Ravilious & Co: The Pattern of Friendship is now on tour to Sheffield’s Millennium Gallery (closing 7 January) followed by Compton Verney (17 March-10 June 2018).
