WALL-E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class), is the last robot left on Earth after humans have abandoned the planet. Clearing the planet one piece of rubbish at a time, he’s become more than a little lonely during his 700 years alone. After spotting EVE, a beautiful probe robot sent to Earth on a scanning mission WALL-E embarks on his greatest mission and sets out to follow EVE across the galaxy. WALL-E won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2009 and was nominated for five further awards.
“Pixar’s WALL-E succeeds at being three things at once: an enthralling animated film, a visual wonderment and a decent science-fiction story” – Roger Ebert
