Sleep Furiously is a poetic and meditative love-letter to Trefeurig, the Welsh farming community in Ceredigion where director Gideon Koppel grew up, 50 miles north of Dylan Thomas’ fictional village of Llareggub. Soundtracked by Aphex Twin, the documentary doesn’t hurry as it follows a year in the life of this tiny rural community.

“Sleep Furiously is a portrait of a place, of a communal state of mind, and of a film-maker’s idiosyncratic sensibility. It’s a thing of quiet, off-beat, tender poetry, and I defy you not to warm to it” – Jonathan Romney, The Independent
