Rush Basket Workshop

Join Ruby Taylor on this introduction to basket making workshop. Taking inspiration from our current exhibition ‘Natural Selection’ which features a number of birds’ nests, you will be supported to weave your own small basket, similar in size to a Robin’s nest, using native English rush.

Following the workshop, which includes a vegan lunch, stay on at the gallery for our In Conversation talk by Andy Holden (please book here separately for this talk).

Ruby has over 20 years teaching experience and regularly offers wild craft courses, which have evolved from a love of making in nature. No previous experience required though a fair level of manual dexterity is.

This workshop is provided on a ‘pay what you can’ basis, nobody will be excluded based on an ability to pay. The suggested contribution is £25 but we welcome more or less depending on your circumstances.
