Eames: The Architect & The Painter
Insightfully narrated by James Franco, this is the first film to be made about the steadfastly private design power-couple Charles and Ray Eames since their deaths.
Charles, an architect, and his wife Ray, a painter, together ran the famous design studio in Venice Beach, California, where design history was born. The film pulls from the dazzling array of archival material, visually stunning films, love letters, photographs and artefacts produced by the couple, along with their talented staff, during the hyper-creative forty-year epoch of the Eames Office.
