Freedman’s life as a working artist and designer was cut short whilst still in full flow with his death in his studio at the age of 56. His sudden demise is reflected within the content of the archive that he left behind.

In this talk Jeremy Parrett, archivist at Manchester Metropolitan University Special Collections, will explore the history of the creation and survival of the Freedman archive and what it reveals about the artist and his work.

This talk also includes a free copy of The Catalogue of the Illustrative Work and Archive of Barnett Freedman.
