Artists chosen for East Sussex Open 2015

We are delighted to share the final list of artists chosen for our prestigious regional art exhibition, East Sussex Open.
Judging this year’s applicants were guest selectors Jonathan Watkins, Director of Ikon Gallery, Birmingham and award-winning London-based video artist Saskia Olde Wolbers. They selected 44 artists from across the region to exhibit work at Towner this summer, from a record number of entries. We received the highest number of applicants this year, with 342 submissions.

The 44 artists chosen hail from all parts of East Sussex including: Lewes, Saltdean, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, Hove, Brighton, Forest Row, Portslade, Hailsham, Ewhurst Green, Hassocks, Eastbourne, Seaford, Saltdean, and Bexhill.
Now in its sixth year, East Sussex Open aims to showcase the best visual artists and makers from across the East Sussex region – from Rye to Brighton and Hove. Artists will be able to exhibit and sell their original art work.
The exhibition will run from 11 July – 20 September 2015.
