Volunteering

A Towner volunteer engages with visitors, by photographer Trevor Mitchell

Calling all Towner and art enthusiasts!  We are now recruiting volunteers to assist our frontline team.

Frontline volunteer positions

Successful candidates will be on hand to meet and greet visitors and share information on the building, our renowned collection and our exhibitions and events.  Working alongside our Gallery Assistants, you will play a vital role in our award-winning gallery and our unique visitor experience.

Volunteers will display excellent standards of customer service.  You will have a 
proactive attitude towards helping visitors understand and enjoy Towner and its 
exhibitions.

Benefits of volunteering include:

You will be allocated as many or as few shifts per week as you feel you can contribute
to Towner.  Each shift is four hours long, covering our general hours of opening
(Tuesday – Sunday 10 – 6pm in summer and 10 – 5pm in winter).
